Note that the 2 shops in Nethy Bridge have a form here to order items in advance. Click from one to the other at the top.
1 Meat can be obtained from the butcher next door.
2 Milk, bread and other groceries may be ordered from the local grocery shop.
3 Or you can order from Tesco and they can be delivered just after your arrival.
The excellent village shop has almost all that you'll need but remember that it may not have the quantity required for a large group.
As well as a Post Office it also has Internet access and copying facilities. The nearest supermarket is the Co-op in Grantown-on-Spey, 5 miles away or Tesco in Aviemore, 11 miles away. Note that at busy times they may have run out of basic items. There are 3 superstores in Inverness.

If you are planning to party, then we are the place for you!
Nethy House: In spite of new legistlation forcing us to give up our alcohol licence, the bar remains set up with optics and fridges so that all groups can stay and party all together under supervision of the party leader.
Nethy Station: there is a pump for Real Ale kegs set up for the same purpose but no optics.
You can arrange delivery of kegs of Real Ale from our local award winning Cairngorm Brewery.
The most popular we have found are Trade Winds, Cairngorm Gold and Sheepshagger's. I am sure it is in the name! We suggest that you forget the rest as they tend to be for a more specialist palate!
Please note that if you want kegs we only have the pump equipment for the 30 litre (50 pint) and 50 litre (88 pint) kegs. Party boxes are also available in different sizes.
We have also created a suggested list of stock which you can bring with you or order locally; see 2 & 3 above.

For £8.50 per day, per head, we are able to purchase a list of basic items and bring down an evening meal for you if you wish.
You help yourselves to:
Breakfast: cereal & toast
Lunch: a piece of fruit & the basics for a sandwich
Evening meal: two courses, geared to the weather, group type and activities partaken.
We leave out what we know that you need for the day and tea and coffee are available at all times. Snacks, drinks, chocolates and anything else that you feel needs to be topped up, should be purchased by individuals according to their own taste. You wash-up the cutlery, crockery & glassware only.
This is aimed at keeping the work, planning and cost down for organisers - it is not a 'Gourmet Option!'
This is a service provided by Nethy House and made available at the Station.

We hate to see our foreign visitors arriving with lots of expensive bottled water and then to have no money left for trips!
The water here tastes so good and and comes from a nearby loch - filtered of course! It is such a shame to see groups drinking bottled water. It is not only a waste of money but the environmental impact of plastic bottles is appalling!
Did you know that it takes 7 litres of water to produce one plastic bottle, and then think about the transport and waste issues!
Save space on the bus too, as our bread and milk are very good value in our supermarkets..
Tesco has 24hr Extra stores in Inverness and another in Perth, which is only a few hundred yards from the A9. This may be a good place to take a break on your way north or, of course, see above and have an order delivered direct to the house.
There are others that I have marked on this map which may be useful.
